Frances I. Gregory, of New London, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Sunday, January 31, 2016. She was 95. Frances was born September 1, 1920 in Perry County, Ohio to the late Floyd and Chloe (Leckrone) DeRolph. She had lived in the New London area since 1946. Frances attended Muskingum College where she received her teaching certificate. Frances was a first grade teacher and in her later years she was a substitute teacher. She was a wonderful homemaker and she took pride in her family. Frances was a member of the New London Grange and the Butler Road Women's Club. She enjoyed watching her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren's activities. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, always wanting to keep her mind busy and active. Frances is survived by her daughters, Nancy (Kevin) Barr of Wadsworth and Linda (Dave) Finley of New London; sons, Robert (Bonnie) Gregory of New London and Herb (Shelly) Gregory of New Albany, Ohio; her daughter in law, Jennifer Gregory of California; 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Joseph; son, John Gregory; brother, Paul DeRolph; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John (Evelyn) Gregory, sister-in-law, Winifred Menzie. Family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until the service at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London with Pastor Lorry Mabiala officiating. Burial will follow at East Creek Cemetery, New London. Memorials may be given to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio 44870.
