Frances Odessa Jackson, age 53, of Columbus died Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at her home after a 2 year illness. She was born March 6, 1959 in New London, Ohio. She was a 1978 graduate of New London High School and Ehove Joint Vocational School of Cosmetology. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse with Nursefinders in Columbus, Ohio. Frances enjoyed drawing and performing at local comedy clubs, under the stage name 'Dume.' She is survived by her husband of 8 years, Kwame Ofori; mother, Beatrice Jackson of New London; her siblings, Joseph Jackson III, Bernice Jackson, Lawrence Scruggs, Robert Jackson all of New London, Paul Jackson of Garland, Texas, Solomon Jackson of Ostrander, Ohio, Jennifer Harris and Holly Harris both of Columbus, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Jackson II and her sister, Esther Jackson-Jennings. Friends may call from 4-5 p.m. on Monday, April 16th at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main Street, New London where a service will be held at 6 p.m. with Pastor Clifford R. Riley officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date.
