Frances M. Leach, age 85, of New London, died Friday, October 28, 2011 at The Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Firelands in New London after a lengthy illness. She was born March 28, 1926 in New London, Ohio, daughter of the late Jennings B. and Marian (Washburn) Davy. Frances lived in New London for many years, where she was a 1944 graduate of New London High School. She had lived in Salt Lake City, Utah for many years. She was a medical technologist for several Cleveland area hospitals. Frances was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in New London. She is survived by her children, William Leach, Karen Harris and Lenora Wakefield all of Columbus; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; her brother, Jim Mitchell of New London and brother in law, Leonard Leach of New London; sister in law, Jeanette Leach of Mansfield; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald W. Leach, her son, Ronald A. Leach, sisters, Patricia Janosko and Virginia McKisson. Private family burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 31, 2011 at the Golding Cemetery, Greenwich Milan Townline Rd.79, (2 miles west of New London). A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 31, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 18 Park Ave., New London with Father Doug Taylor officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the church.
