Frances L. Williams, 80, of Olena, died Monday, October 22, 2018 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center, Norwalk surrounded by her loving family. Fran was born January 23, 1938 in Peebles, Ohio, daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Bailey) Adams. She married Jack Williams on December 23, 1953. After Jack's sudden death Frances married Winford "Corn" Smothers on August 16, 1965. Frances worked at Fanny Farmers Candy in Norwalk from the 1950's-1970's, Sewline Products in New London and owned a dispatching and trucking company. Frances belonged to the Eagles Club for 40 years and the Golden Agers. She was saved and baptized at the First Baptist Church in New London. Fran is survived by her loving children, Randy (Tamera) Williams, Daniel (Heather) Williams, Gary (Sarah) Williams, Tami (Webster) Sanders, Bret (Jenn) Williams, Richard (Denise) Smothers; over 40 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Juanita Kinzer and brother, Tom Gardner. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Bill, Walt, Joseph Jr. and Robert (Bob) Adams; sisters, Barbara Coe, Betty Pence, Shelby Pence, Mary Lou Hatfield and grandchildren, Timothy , Ryan and Nicholas Williams. A visitation will be held from 1 pm until the 2:45 pm service on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Eastman Funeral Home in New London.
