Frankie M. Samples, age 72, of Oberlin, died on Friday, June 13, 2025 in the comfort of her home. Born February 22, 1953 in Chickasha, Oklahoma, she had been a resident of Oberlin for the last 25 years. Frankie worked for several convenience stores including Mickey Mart of New London and Certified of Oberlin, where she was known and loved by customers for her friendly demeanor.

A very simple woman, Frankie enjoyed being at home and spending time with her family. It would seem as though her love grew with each generation as her grandchildren, and later great-grand children, had a very special place in her heart. Frankie also enjoyed a good game of poker.

Left to cherish Frankie's memory are her children, Lisa Samples of Amherst, Keith (Yolanda) Samples of Oberlin, Kenneth (Debby) Samples of Brunswick, Sherri (Ronnie) Bogle of Chickasha, OK, Deborah Samples of Oberlin, and Kerry Foster of Comanche, OK; grandchildren, Stephanie, Stacey, Ashlee, Rickey, Brooke, Dylan (Deanna), Cassie, Samantha, Garrett, Brett, and Lucas; great-grandchildren, Rockie, Presley, Oliver, Carter Mae, Lucas Jr., Lilly, Jackson, and Aria; sisters, Sharon (Larry) Matlock of Anadarko, OK, Charlotte Cocheran of Sacramento, CA. and Dolly Madison of Chickasha, OK; and her special care giver, Chrissy Serrano.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Dorothy (Patterson) Madison; her husband of over twenty years, Gary Samples; and former husband, Robert Souders; brother-in-law, Joe Cocheran.

Family and friends are invited to visitation on Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London, OH 44851. A funeral service will begin immediately following the visitation at 2:00 p.m..
