Norwalk, Ohio - Freadhelm W. "Fred" Horning, 85, passed away peacefully at home, February 16, 2019. He was born October 1, 1933 in Norwalk, Ohio, to the late Freadhelm and Bertha (Waldron) Horning, and was a lifelong area resident. Fred retired in 1996 from the former Armstrong Air in Bellevue, Ohio. He was a former member of Norwalk Eagles. He enjoyed woodworking, Fred is survived by his wife of 63 years, Beulah J. "Jo" (Lang) Horning of Norwalk, Ohio, they were married on December 24, 1956. He is also survived by his children, Malinda (Douglas) Hainline of Mesa, Arizona, Bertha "Bert" (Lane) Jensen of Danville, Indiana, Carlina "Kay" (Timothy) Kropp, Theresa "Teri" Horning Ohio and Tracy Schulden all of Norwalk, Ohio, by 8 grandchildren, Angela Kornbacher, Brett Hainline, Rebecca Marlotte, Heather Prichard, Carrie Barnes, Cassandra Jensen, Reece Jensen, and Rachel Schulden and by 5 great-grandchildren, Isabelle Fragola, Illeyana and Aiden Hainline, and Mabel and Henry Barnes. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Jay Chapin in 2006. Friends may call on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. in Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St. Norwalk, Ohio.
