Obituary

Fred H. Hacker, 70, of Greenwich and lifelong area resident, died on September 6, 2019 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.  He was born on July 7, 1949 in Oberlin, OH to the late Martin H. and Ruth A. (Nieding) Hacker and was a 1968 graduate of South Central High School.

Fred enjoyed tinkering in his shop, lawn work and visiting with his neighbors.  He served his country in the US Air National Guard and retired from Ford Motor Company in Sandusky and was a lifelong farmer.  He was a member of the Eagles Aerie #711 and Willard Moose.

Survivors include his numerous nieces and nephews, siblings, Mary A. Abramoska of Palm Bay, FL, Carl H. (Lana) Hacker of Greenwich, Ruth A. (Kevin) Marenberg of Sandusky, Jane A. (Josh) Weaver of Ft. Myers, FL; brother and sisters-in-law, Linda Kamann, Janet (Rodney) Anderson, Judy (Jay) Schaffer.

In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his wife Kathy, brother, John H. Hacker and brothers-in-law, Robert, Eugene and William Kessler.

Friends may call on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 from 5 pm until 8 pm at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk, Ohio where a service will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 11 am with burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery in Monroeville.  Memorial contributions may be made to Back to the Wild Inc., 4504 Bardshar Rd., Castalia, OH 44824.  Online condolences may be expressed by visiting www.walkereastmanheydingerfh.com.
