Obituary

Fred S. Paynter age 66 of New London died after a short illness Friday, December 16, 2011 at his home, with his wife and children by his side. He was born in Rio Grande, Ohio, son of Clifton and Muriel (Mattox) Paynter. He lived in Cleveland and Findlay moving to New London in 1987. Fred retired in 2009 from Yellow Freight after 23 years. He also drove for Contris Packing and Signal Trucking both of Findlay. He was a member of the Teamsters Local #407 of Cleveland. Fred loved collecting and working on old cars and riding his motorcycle. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Robin Paynter; 5 Children, Roberta (Jeff) Howard and Richard Paynter both of Findlay, Kimberly (Mike) Moore of Arlington, OH, Fred Paynter III of Findlay, and Stacy Paynter of Willard; 11 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren; and 3 brothers, Clifton (Sue) Paynter of Wakeman, Wayne (Joan) Paynter and Sherman Paynter both of Cleveland. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother David, and a sister Connie Howard Friends may call 1-3 and 6-8 pm Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London, where funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday. Burial will be in Knollcrest Cemetery, Arcadia, OH at 2 pm.
