Fred H. Wilcox, 88, of Norwalk, Ohio, died on December 21, 2020 at Twilight Gardens Nursing Home within days of contracting COVID-19.  He was born on January 13, 1932 in Olena to the late Lester H. and Blanche (Sage) Wilcox.  Fred was a lifelong area resident.

He served his country honorably as part of the United States Army during the Korean War.  Fred retired from Tenneco Manufacturing in 1994 after 40 years of service.  He enjoyed watching football, western and doing yardwork.

Survivors include his loving wife, Phyllis (Nestor) Wilcox; sons, Keith A. Wilcox, Scott E. Wilcox, and Bruce C. Wilcox; stepchildren, Mark A. (Jennifer) Austin, and Debbie A. Zinn; sister, Jenny Coffman; several grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Fred is preceded in death by his daughter, Gail M. Wilcox; siblings, Carl Wilcox, Mardell (Raymond) Smith, Edith Wilson, Richard Wilcox, Ernie Wilcox, Walter "Whimp" (Shirley) Wilcox and Roger Wilcox and son in-law, Robert W. Zinn.
