Frederick "Fred" James McCurdy, age 89,  died on November 11, 2024. He was born in 1935  in Massachusetts where he resided until moving to Lorain, OH.  Fred worked at the Ford Plant for 38 years, enjoyed bowling, golfing, fixing cars and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Florence and Walter Brown and sister, Joyce Brown.

Fred is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda McCurdy, sister Beverly Reitenbach, daughters Bonnie McCurdy, Robin Ann Baum (Marty), Heidi Childs (Joel), Becky McCurdy-Cooksey (William), Lisa Paradise (Robert), sons David Donat (Christy) and Steve Donat (Lyndsey), 18 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 14th from 10:00 am until the service at 12:00 pm at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home located at 370 S Main St, Wellington OH 44090.  Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery on Cemetery Rd, Wellington OH.  Expressions of sympathy may be shared online at www.norton-eastmanfuneralhome.com.
