Gary L. Botos of New London, passed away at the Laurels of New London on October 24, 2017. He was 55. He was born on November 16, 1961 in Flint, Michigan and lived most of his life in the New London area. Gary graduated from New London High School. He worked at the former Bailey's Pontiac in New London as a master mechanic until they closed and later owned his own business "GB Garage." Gary cherished spending time with his grandchildren. He loved woodworking, camping and fishing. He is survived by his daughter, Angela McClelland of Mims, Florida; grandchildren, Alona and Adalyn McClelland; mother, Ruth Young of Norwalk; sister, Christine Nickoli of Norwalk and nieces and nephews, Amber Nickoli, Tyler Potter, Michael Potter and Megan Botos. Gary was preceded in death by his father, Donald Young and a brother, Kenneth Botos. His family will greet friends from 6-8 pm on Friday, October 27, 2017 at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main Street, New London where a service will be held at 11 am Saturday. Burial will follow at Ashland County Memorial Park.
