Norwalk, Ohio - Gary "Pops" Robron, 76, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018, in the Stein Hospice Inpatient Unit, Sandusky, Ohio. Gary was born November 14, 1941 in Port Clinton, Ohio, to the late Ollie and Jennie (Mehlow) Zess, and was a lifelong area resident. He retired from R & L Transfer, Norwalk, Ohio. In his spare time he enjoyed antique cars, trains, golf, and watching classic t.v. shows. Gary is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jean Marie (Preston) Robron, by his daughters, Dawn (Jackie) Calloway, Sandra Kocher, Tracy Robron, Christine Reis, and Jennifer (Larry) Jamison, by 17 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and other relatives. In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his brother, Frederick (Fritz) Robron, and by his sister, Isabelle (Vito) Menier. Friends may call on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Rev. Bob Hudberg will officiate.
