Gary James Wagner, 77, of Wellington, died Monday, April 6, 2020 at home. Born on September 20, 1942, he was the son of the late Leroy and Bernice Wagner. Gary was a graduate of Avon High School and moved to the Wellington area in the early 70's.
Gary retired from the Ford Motor Company last year after more than 50 years. He enjoyed auctions, flea markets and visiting Sauder Village and Auburn car museums with his wife of 56 years, Dorothy. He had the ability to fix anything and was an accomplished wood worker. Most of all Gary cherished his family and the time spent with them.
Survivors include his loving wife Dorothy (nee Wojciechowski); children Rick (Billie Jo) Wagner, of Espyville PA, Peggy (Dan) Goodell, of Oberlin, Troy Wagner, of Van Wert, and Penny (James) Niday of Swanton; grandchildren Brian Neff, Daniel, Laura, and Jasmine Wagner; great granddaughter Daisy; and sister Linda Wagner. Gary was preceded in death by his brother David Wagner.
