Eastman Funeral Home 419-929-3781 Genevieve O. "Gene" Lucal, age 95, of Wellington and formerly of Clarksfield, died early Saturday morning at the Elms Retirement Village, Wellington. She was born August 29, 1919 in Clarksfield Twp., Ohio, daughter of the late Alphonso and Inez (Smith) Thomas. Genevieve was a 1937 graduate of New London High School. Gene had worked at Kent Sporting Goods until her retirement and was also a homemaker. She loved flowers, gardening and her pets. She is survived by her children, Terry (Mary) Lucal of Wooster, Tami (Stan) Waite of Wellington 7 Grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Conrad Lucal, daughter, Sharon Roeder, son-in-law, Bob Roeder, grandson, Eric Puder, great grandson, Jason Puder, 2 sisters and 7 brothers. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London. Burial will follow at Clarksfield Methodist Cemetery.
