Georgia E. Snyder, 81, of Wellington, died on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 under hospice care. On December 31, 1943, Georgia was born in Canton to Geraldine (nee Godfrey) and Seth James RowLee. She lived most of her adult life in the Canton and Portage Lake area before moving to Wellington 10 years ago.

Georgia worked with animal rescue, equestrian in North Carolina, also she was a member of Mt. Pleasant Church and Cemetery Association in Creston, WV.  Georgia loved crafting, animals, wildlife, shopping, traveling and she always kept herself busy.

Georgia is survived by her children, Duane (Brittany) Snyder, of Sherrodsville, OH, Darrell (Tammy) Snyder, of Dundee, OH, and Debbie (Mitch) Brinley, of Wellington, OH; sisters, Shirley Menegos, of Huron, OH and Rosalie Amos, of Canton, OH; grandsons, Ben, Jeremy and Matt (Kera Weber) Snyder, all of Dundee, OH; granddaughter, Karra (Stelyn) Raber, of Canton, OH;  great grandchildren, Mason Snyder, Rylee Snyder, Kingsley Raber and Amelia Raber; and her dear cat, Callie. In addition to her parents, Georgia was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Alton Denver Snyder and a brother Albert Wolfe.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 19, from 3 p.m. until the 5 p.m. Funeral Service at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 20 at 1 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Creston, WV.
