Obituary

Georgiana Catherine (nee McKnight) Bohrer, 90, of Oberlin died Wednesday, August 03, 2011. She was born in Norwalk, Ohio on March 28, 1921, the daughter of the late William and Clara (nee Durand) McKnight. Georgiana moved to Oberlin in 1935 and graduated from Oberlin High School in 1939 before attending Bowling Green State University. She was an accomplished pianist and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, counted cross stitch, sewing and reading. She married Kenneth A. Bohrer in 1945 and they were married until his death in 1988. In later years she made her home with her daughter and enjoyed her great-grandchildren. Georgiana is survived by her daughter, Sherianne Willbond, of Oberlin; grandchildren, Sarah LaPoint, of South Amherst and Michael LaPoint, of Phoenix, Arizona and great grandchildren, Hunter, Brayden and Lauren Willbond. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth A. Bohrer and son-in-law, Thomas Willbond. A private family graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 8 at Florence Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Friendship Animal Protective League of Lorain County, 8303 Murray Ridge Road, Elyria, Ohio 44035.
