Gerald E. "Buddy" Morrison, 81, of Ruggles, died Thursday, April 17, 2014 at his home. Born on April 17, 1933, in Upshur County, WV, to the late Buck and Opal (Lane) Morrison. He is one of 9 children, 2 brothers and 6 sisters.
Gerald served in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955 in Korea. He was a deputy sheriff in Hocking County and police officer in Logan. Gerald retired from Larsen Foundry in Grafton after 30 years and moved to Ruggles over 20 years ago where he became owner of Route 60 Auto Salvage.
He was a member of the First Apostolic Church of Nankin. Gerald was a loving husband, dad, papaw and great papaw. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding horses.
Survived by his loving wife of 58 ½ years, Donna J. (Mount); children, Terry (Lynna) Morrison of NC, Brenda (Lloyd) Lindsey of Nova, Floyd (Peggy) Morrison of West Salem,, Kenny (Cheri) Morrison of OK, Bradley Morrison of Greenwich, Lisa (David Sprague) Cool of Sullivan, Alan (Tamera) Morrison of NC and Angie (Larry) Wagner of Holmesville, OH; 21 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren.
Visitation Monday, April 21, 2014 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. at the First Apostolic Church of Nankin, 817 Twp Rd 974, Ashland where a service will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Edward Kelley officiating.
