Gerald W. "Jerry" Gordon, 90, of Collins, Ohio, passed peacefully from this life to the next on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 8, 1934, in Elkins, WV, to the late Preston and Edith (Jordan) Gordon.
Jerry was a fun loving, ornery man who loved his family and cherished time with his grandchildren, and dog "Ki". He enjoyed deer hunting and 4-wheeling trips to West Virginia with his hunting buddies, Bernard and Dave.
He served his country as part of the United States Navy during the Korean War.
Jerry retired from the former Ford plant in Lorain after many years of service and was a member at the Maple City Church of God for over 20 years.
He is survived by his daughter, and caregiver, Karen Gordon of Collins; daughter, Cindy (Ronn) Walter of Tiffin; grandchildren, Terra Young, Callie Horning, and Tiffany Smith; great grandchildren, Kora (Brett) Jones, Jerica (Keaton) Houghtlen, Landen Young, and Liam Young.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Lola Mae Gordon, and brothers, Jim and Kenneth Gordon.
Visitation for Jerry will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025, at the Maple City Church of God, 79 E. Main St., Norwalk, from 10 a.m. until the time of the 11 a.m. service with Pastor Kenny Conley conducting services. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Cemetery, in Huron, Ohio.
