Gerald Eugene McClellan, 76, of Wellington, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Monday, July 11, 2022. Born on March 9, 1946 in Amherst, he was the son of the late Charles and Helen (nee Beam) McClellan.

Gerald proudly served in the US Army during Vietnam. He went on to retire from Ford Motor Company after 29 years. He was a member and (and past president) of Wellington Eagles, American Legion and founding member of Brighton Park. He also operated the gates at Lorain County Fair for many years. Gerald enjoyed spending his time outdoors, caring for his landscape, and coaching baseball.

Left to treasure his memory are his children, Martin McClellan, of Brighton, and Mike McClellan, of Wellington; grandchildren, Luke and Mason McClellan, and brother, Charles McClellan, of Wellington. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Dawn Sword.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 14, 2022 from 1-4 pm at the Wellington Eagles, 631 South Main Street, Wellington, 44090.
