Gerald Robert Fricke, Jr., passed away unexpectedly on December 19, 2024, at Akron General Hospital. Jerry was born in Cleveland on Valentine's Day in 1973. He grew up in North Ridgeville and graduated with the North Ridgeville High School Class of 1991.

Jerry worked as a steel worker for Ferro Corporation for many years. Recently, Jerry was an over the road truck driver for R&L Carriers.

He was passionate about drag racing and raced at many tracks in the area. Jerry enjoyed riding his motorcycle and bow hunting. He liked running chainsaws and could often be found cutting firewood and big timber. Jerry also liked driving "Big Red" through the fields on the Yarish family farm. A true family man, Jerry loved his family and took great pride in attending his children's events and cheering them on in their endeavors.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 25 years, Jill (nee Yarish); children, Hannah (nee Fricke) (Gunnar) Richter, Jerry Fricke III, Madelyn Fricke, Emma Fricke; his mother, Carol (nee Silveus) Fricke and sister, Kristine (Mike) Purenciu. Jerry was preceded in death by his dad, Gerald R. Fricke, Sr.
