Geraldine M. Anderson

Geraldine M. (Giordano) Anderson, 90, of Fremont and formerly of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2026, at Admirals Pointe in Huron, Ohio. She was born on August 16, 1936, in Batavia, NY, to the late Anthony I. and Aurora E. (Bowen) Giordano.

Geraldine moved to the area in 1964. She enjoyed BINGO, cooking, music, dancing, gambling and trips to Las Vegas (over 50 of them!). She loved her huge family…and was loved hugely by them. She had the gift of hospitality, was the queen of hilarious sayings, and never met a stranger. She loved walking, sitting in the sun and chit chatting with family and friends for hours.

Geraldine retired from Monroe-Clevite in Milan after 23 years in 1998. After retirement she volunteered at Fisher-Titus Medical Center. She was a member of the Norwalk Eagles Aerie #711, and St. Paul Catholic Church.

She is survived by her children, Christine (James Meisler)- Anderson of Castalia, Peggy Sue Anderson of Toledo, Toni (Bryan) Gibson of Collins, and Jodi (Dale) Kelsey of Alabama; daughter in-law, Laura (Jeffrey) Anderson of Florida; 19 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, and longtime friend, Karen Hainline.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Anderson; sons, Thomas Lee, and Jeffrey Wayne; daughter, Carol Marie; twin brother, Gerald Lee Giordano; grandson, Shannon Schaffer; great grandson, Xayver Wegner; 3 half-sisters, and 2 half-brothers.

A celebration of Geraldine’s life is being planned for a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to Southern Care Hospice, 9501 US Hwy 250 N. Ste. 2, Milan, OH 44846. Online expressions of sympathy may be made by visiting: www.walkereastmanheydingerfh.com
