Gladys S. Blessing, age 84, of Wellington died Wednesday, December 19th after a short illness. She was born February 5, 1923 in Wellington to the late Roscoe and Doris (Young) Oney. Mrs. Blessing graduated from Wellington High School. She had worked for the A&P for 35 years. Mrs. Blessing was a member of the Wellington Genealogy Society and served on the treasury for the senior luncheon program. Also, she was a member of the Brighton Congregational Church and belonged to the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing and loved to read. Survivors include her son, David Blessing of Wellington; 2 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. Mrs. Blessing was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, her sister, Shirley Oney, and a daughter-in-law, Anna. Friends may call from 6 ' 7 pm on Thursday, December 27th at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington where a memorial service will begin at 7pm. Burial will follow at a later date.
