Gladys E. Roser, 97, of Wellington, died Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Elyria Memorial Hospital. She was born on April 30, 1914 in Avon to the late Hary and Lucy (nee Linden) Miller.
In the 1950s, Gladys worked at General Industries. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Wellington, the Wellington Eagles Aerie 2051 and the Old Glory Grange. Gladys loved gardening and was a member of both the Lorain County and Medina County Beekeepers.
She leaves behind her children, Catherine (Allan, Sr.) Anderson, of Nova, Alvin (Donna) Roser, Jr., George Roser, and Betty Orsik, all of Wellington; 11 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren and 3 great great great grandhildren. Gladys is also survived by her sister, Mary Bonnett, of Elyria. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Alvin Roser, Sr.; son-in-law, George Orsik; grandson, Allan 'Buzz' Anderson, Jr.; brother, Norman B. Miller and sister, Mildred Marlett.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 ' 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 ' 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 3 at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington, where funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Kenneth Gerhardt officiating. Burial will follow at Westwood Cemetery, Oberlin.
