Glen Leroy Wacker, 69, of Shelby, died Friday, December 27, 2024, at Ohio Health in Shelby. Born on May 20, 1955, in Oberlin, he was the son of the late Paul and Betty Jean (nee Thudium) Wacker. Glen attended Wellington High School and was in the first graduating class of the Lorain County JVS in 1973.
A Farmer most of his life, Glen eventually sold the family farm and began driving truck. After retirement, he worked at Home Depot. Glen enjoyed working on the farm, building things, and getting his hands dirty. When he was younger he enjoyed hunting. A family man at heart, Glen cherished his time with family, traveling, camping, and playing with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his loving wife of 34 years, Lisa (nee Denslow) Wacker; children, Mike (Jaclyn Davey) Wacker, of Chesterland, Deidre (Michael Sparks) Wacker, of Lexington, Dayna (Charles) Richards, of Shelby, and Kerri (Jim Snyder) Wacker, of Ashland; grandchildren, Kameron, Kennedy, Trent, and Adalyn. In Addition to his parents, Glen was preceded in death by siblings, Don Wacker and Diane Shearer
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 8th from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. at the Wellington Reservation Metro Park building, 535 Jones Road, Wellington, OH 44090.
