Gloria Jean Babitt, 75, of Wellington, died Monday, September, 16, 2024, at Mercy New Life Hospice in Lorain. Born August 18, 1949 in Lorain, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Frances (nee Dombrowski) Biczykowski. Gloria grew up in Lorain and graduated from Admiral King High School in 1967. She moved to Wellington in 1979.

Gloria was a dedicated mother and grandmother, volunteering time as a read mom at Westwood Elementary School. She enjoyed attending sporting and other school events for family. Gloria also liked to bake her famous pies and Polish pastries, especially around the holidays. She also enjoyed playing cards and games with her best friend Karen and family, and occasionally playing a round of golf. Gloria always looked forward to trips to the casino with her aunt, Hattie and cousin, Renee. Most of all she cherished time with her family and their dogs, making sure they were well loved.

Survivors include her daughter, Tricia (Kurt) Farr, of Wellington; grandchildren, Mitchell, Weston (Juliana), and Trinity. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Babitt in 2013.

Friends and family will be received on Monday, September 23, from 4-8 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main Street, Wellington, where services will be held on Tuesday, beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
