Gloria Jeanene Fetterman, age 79, of New London, died on Monday February 26, 2024 at the University of Toledo Medical Center after a lengthy illness.  She was the daughter of the late William and Virginia (Evans) Johnson.  Jeanene was born January 26, 1945 at the hospital in Olive Hill, Carter Co., Kentucky, but spent her childhood in Rowan County, coming to New London, Ohio in 1951.  Jeanene was a 1963 graduate of New London High School.  She was married April 26, 1975 at the United Methodist Church in New London to George Douglas Fetterman.  She worked at the C.E. Ward Co., Ballonoff Metal Products, and assisted her mother cleaning for Firelands Electric Company.  Jeanene was a member of the United Methodist Church.

In addition to her loving husband, Doug; Jeanene is survived by one sister, LaVerne Hargis, her brother, Ed Johnson and sister-in-law Lois (Vaughn) Neel, all of New London; several nieces and nephews, Tom, Paul, John and Mike Neel; Randi (Hargis) Hall, Rhonda (Hargis) Justice, Carla (Hargis) Dearth. Jackie Hargis and Teresa (Hargis) Chandler; and her dear friend, Pauline Nelson.  Jeanene was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Jerleen "Jerl" Hargis.

Burial will take place at the Grove Street Cemetery, New London.  Jeanene requested that there be no memorial service.  Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church, 58 E.
