EASTMAN FUNERAL HOME 419-929-3781 Goldia Ruple, age 87, of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and formerly of Nova, died Monday, December 31, 2012 at Kingston Residence, Ft. Wayne, Indiana. She was born August 18, 1925 in Bearsville, West Virginia, daughter of the late Samuel and Alice (Dawson) Owens. Goldia had lived in Elyria for 20 years before she moved to Nova in 1971 and the past 8 years in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. She was a nurses assistant for several area nursing homes. She is survived by her daughters, Betty (Neil) McIntire and Rebecca (Dick) Douglas all of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; 2 granddaughters, 1 grandson, 1 great granddaughter, brother, John Owens, sisters, Orpha Layfield and Lucy Fulton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Ruple, her brothers, Waldo (Bill) Meredith, Calvin Owens, Yenard (Joe) Owens, sisters, Nellie Barker, Rosa Cowan, Lucretia Garen, Zola Owens. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London with Pastor Joe Gutierrez of The Church on Fire officiating .
