Goldie C. Fry, age 85, of Greenwich, died Saturday, November 3, 2012 in Willard. She was born December 1, 1926 in Ashland County, daughter of the late Arthur and Flossie (Shank) Chandler. Goldie had lived in Greenwich for many years. She was a 1944 graduate of Ashland High School. She had worked at Norstat in Norwalk for 17 years where she retired in the early 1990's. Goldie was a member of the Ripley Church, Greenwich. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Goldie especially enjoyed helping at her church and mowing her lawn. She is survived by her daughter, Virgie Hunt and her son, Dean Fry both of Greenwich; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Dianne Chandler and Velma Chandler both of Ashland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Fry, whom she had married, December 1, 1944, her son, Danny Fry, son-in-law, Terry Hunt, brothers, Clyde, Eugene, James Chandler. Friends may call from 6 - 9 p.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 49 West Main St., Greenwich and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Eric Robinson officiating.
