Gordon Fredrick Staschke, 82, of Greenwich, died Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk. Born on April 29, 1940 in Toledo, he was the son of the late Raymond and Helen J. (nee Cressman) Staschke. Gordon was a 1958 graduate of New London High School.

Gordon was a heavy equipment operator and worked for Funk Construction, Bay/Con construction and retired from Cedar Bay Construction. He had been a member of F.A.R.M. as well as the LaGrange Hit & Miss Engine Club. Gordon was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan.

Survivors include his loving wife of nearly 63 years, Wanda Sue (nee Blevins) whom he married on January 16, 1960; his children, Mark (Terri) Staschke, of Greenwich, Kevin (Susie) Staschke, of Phoenix, AZ, and Keith Staschke, of Columbus; grandchildren, Clinton, Blair, Heath, Eric, and Adrian; great-grandchildren Elijah, Liem, Malachi, E.J., Greyson, Elicia and Freya. In addition to his parents, Gordon was preceded in death by his brothers Creighton and Scott Staschke, and a niece Erin Staschke.

Friends and family will be received on Monday, January 16, at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main, New London, from 4-8 p.m. Services will be held on Tuesday, beginning at 1 p.m. at the Funeral Home, Burial will follow at Grove Street Cemetery.
