Grace M. Porter, 89, formerly of New London, died Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Twilight Gardens Nursing Home in Norwalk. She was born in Vermilion, and moved to New London in 1941. Grace was employed by the National Society for Crippled Children in Elyria. Later she worked 19 years as a cashier and office personal for the A&P formerly of New London. Grace attended the Oberlin School of Commerce. She is survived by a twin sister, Gladys M. Wheeler of Elyria; two sons, Jerry (Susan) Porter of New London and Tim (Marsha) Porter of Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is also survived by three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Grace was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lester Porter; parents, Carrie and John Nuhn and two brothers, John and Albert Nuhn. There will be no services. Memorials if desired may be given to the New London Fire Department in care of John Chapin, 115 East Main Street, New London, Ohio 44851.
