Gregory John Frenk, 47, of Wellington, died unexpectedly, on Saturday, February 26, 2022. Born on May 18, 1974 in Oberlin, he was the son of John and Ann Marie (nee King) Frenk. Greg graduated from Wellington High School in 1992 and then went to Akron University where he attained an associate's degree in fire science.

Greg worked for the Village of Wellington, beginning in 1996, and had recently become the superintendent of the water and waste water departments. For 22 years he served with the Wellington Fire Department, retiring in 2017. He was very active with the department while he served and also assisted on the dive team. Greg was a lifelong member of St. Patrick's Catholic Parish and was involved in teaching PSR for several years.

Greg lived life to the fullest and was known to be the life of the party. He was outgoing and welcoming, respected by many in his community, and will be remembered for his infectious laugh, his constant smile, larger than life personality, and his love of joking around. He was a hard worker and strove to always do right by others and was always willing to help others. Greg was smart and knowledgeable about many topics (weird stuff according to his kids). He loved fishing, playing cards, watching movies, bike riding, and sharing a beverage with his friends and family. Greg was a doting father who loved to watch his kid's sporting events and was so proud of each of them.

Survivors include his loving wife of 24 years, Connie (nee Booth); children, Erin, Karlie, and Alexander, all of Wellington; his parents, John and Ann Marie Frenk, of Wellington; brothers, Neil (Kori) Frenk, of Vermilion, and Todd (Jessica) Frenk, of Amherst; sister-in-law, Jackie (David) Bowman; brother-in-law, Dennis Booth; nephew, Joshua, as well as several other nieces and nephews; and special friends Bruce and Staci Lehmkuhl and their kids.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday, March 3, from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main St. A mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday at St. Patrick's Catholic Parish, 512 North Main St, beginning at 11 a.m. Donations in Greg's memory may be directed to the Wellington Fire Department, 202 Kelly St, Wellington.
