Haj Joseph Khalil of Oberlin, Ohio passed away on September 8, 2021.

He enjoyed gardening and working outside. He especially liked growing strawberries, watermelons, and chickpeas, and won awards for his gardening abilities.

He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He has been married to his wife, Sarah Kaye, for more than 50 years.

He is also survived by his two daughters, Phadrah and Fatima, and one son, Joseph Belden.

Private services will be held.
