Harold D. Baker, age 81, of Greenwich, died Sunday, May 9, 2010 at Lake Point Health Care Center, Lorain. He was born January 22, 1929 in Lexington, Kentucky, son of the late Jess and Emma (Atwell) Baker. He had lived in Greenwich for the past 46 years. Harold had worked at B & O Railroad in the 1950's and the former Empire Steel in Mansfield where he retired in 1992. He had formerly attended the First Baptist Church in Greenwich. He is survived by his wife Virginia (Shepherd) Baker; his son, David W. (Denise) Baker of Charlotte, North Carolina; 2 grandchildren, Alison and Christopher Baker; 3 great grandchildren, McKenna, Troy and Gage. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Christine Coovert and Carl Baker. Friends may call from 6 ' 8 p.m. Monday, May 10, 2010 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 49 West Main St., Greenwich. Private funeral services will be held Tuesday. Burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery, New Haven.
