Harold 'Tommy' Blair, age 60, of Greenwich, died Saturday, February 7, 2009 at Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus after a lengthy illness. He was born August 11, 1948 in Beards Fork, West Virginia, son of the late Cecil and Gussie (Ward) Blair. He moved to Pontiac, Michigan until his retirement from General Motors in 1999 when he moved to the Greenwich area. Tommy had worked for General Motors for 30 years. He was a member of the United Auto Workers. He had attended the Baptist church in Greenwich and Wooster.
He is survived by his sons, Chad (Sarah) Blair of Mansfield and Brian (Toni) Blair of Greenwich; his former wife, Karen Thompson of Greenwich; 3 grandsons and 2 granddaughters; his brothers, Dean (Elaine) Blair and Kenneth (Shelia) Blair all of Summersville, W. Va., JC (Hazel) Blair of Jonesville, W.Va., Jerry Blair of W. Va.; his sisters, Betty (Jim) Fisher of North Carolina, Ernestine (Doug) Sparks of Orrville, Ohio, Brenda (Joe) Sheffer of Waynesboro, Va., Sandy (Ronnie) Toney of Jonesville, Va. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 sister.
