Harold L. Davidson, Sr., age 75, of Greenwich, died Monday, December 15, 2008 at his home, after a lengthy illness.
Harold was born November 6, 1933 in Rochester, Ohio, son of the late, Charles H. and Myrtle (Reidy) Davidson. He had lived in Willard for several years and in rural Greenwich for over 25 years. He was a 1953 graduate of New London High School and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a former member of the New London American Legion and V.F.W.
Harold had worked at the former C.E. Ward Co. and E. Bigelow both of New London. He was a 20 year employee of both RR Donnelley in Willard and the New London Post Office; he had also delivered the Mansfield News Journal.
He is survived by wife, Majorie (Wise) Davidson; sons, Raymar (Jeanette) Davidson of New London, Harold L. Davidson, Jr. of Crestline and David Davidson of Ashland; and 6 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Blanche Davidson; a granddaughter, Katherine; 2 brothers, James & Charles Davidson; and 3 sisters, Margaret Mollenkoff, Mary Schafer and Gertrude Mollenkoff.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London, where funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 19, 2008. Burial will follow at Grove Street Cemetery, New London with military rites.
