Obituary

Harold Hough, age 72 , of Brighton Twp., died Sunday, October 7, 2007 at the home of his sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Maynard Emmerich, in Henrietta Twp. after a year and a half illness. Harold was born October 18, 1934 in Ashley , Ohio , son of the late Stanton and Berniece (Davis) Hough. He graduated from LaGrange High School. Harold owned and operated Hough's Trucking of Brighton Twp. for fifty years. He was a former member of the Rochester Rod and Gun Club. He had also served in the Ohio National Guard. He is survived by his son, Donald R. (Nancy) Hough of Brighton; four grandchildren, Victoria, Neal, Leroy, and Ashley; one great granddaughter, Carlee; five brothers and sisters, Natalia (Fred) Mele, Doris Ferrell, George 'Fred' Hough, Linda (Maynard) Emmerich, Gary (Linda) Hough; a foster brother, Bob Caldwell; and his good friend and secretary, Norma Carter-Hinkle. Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene Hough, and his daughter, Victoria Lynne Hough. Friends may call from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main Street, Wellington where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2007 with Pastor Christine Bell of the Brighton United Methodist Church and Harold's nephew, Associate Pastor Steve Ferrell officiating. Burial will follow at the Brighton Cemetery. Memorials if desired may be given to New Life Hospice Foundation, 5255 N. Abbe Rd., Elyria, Ohio 44035-1450.
