Harold Lee Norton, of Wellington, passed away on June 4, 2026, at Mercy Lorain Hospital at the age of 86. He was a lifelong resident of Wellington, except for his Military Service. He proudly served his country in both the Army and Army Reserves. He was born on July 23, 1939, to the late Harold and Dorothy (Shipman) Norton.

Harold graduated from Wellington High School in 1957. For many years, Harold was a Ready Mix Driver for Medina Supply. He volunteered his time with the Wellington Hot Stove Baseball League and the Wellington Booster Club.

Harold enjoyed being outside in nature. He loved to trap shoot and spent many hours fishing and hunting. Harold took great pleasure in mowing his lawn. He liked coaching baseball and watching his kids and grandkids play various sports. His great grandkids held a special place in his heart.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Beverly (Moses); children, Dennis (Lisa), Jerry (Shelly), Gary (Wendy) and Tina (Clete); grandchildren, Melissa (Joe), Douglas, Rebecca (Josh) Jessie, Alyson (Julian), Matthew (Lauren) Norton and Nick (Madison) & Taylor Sutherland; great grandchildren, Blake and Berlin Norton, Tucker and Ethan Jessie, and Murphy Sutherland .

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Harold & Dorothy and infant son, Joseph. Also by his siblings and their spouses: Robert, Louise Sutliff, Dan, Bill and Lois, Peggy and Bill Reed & Joan and Don Whitney.

Graveside services will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Wellington, on Thursday, June 11, at 5pm. Expressions of sympathy may be shared online at www.norton-eastmanfuneralhome.com.
