Harry D. Bailey, 76, of Camden Twp. passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at University Hospital in Cleveland. It was a gentle death in the company of family members. He was well prepared to meet the Lord!
Born in Crumpler, WV to John Spencer Bailey and Virgie Elsie White, he graduated from Bramwell High School and served four years in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from GM. Harry loved attending church services and functions at the Wellington Free Will Baptist Church and reading his Bible. He enjoyed watching football and baseball, bluegrass music, bowling, nature and was an airplane enthusiast.
Harry leaves behind 6 daughters; Beverly Keathley, Anita Ryan, Rhenda Bailes, Debbie Velez, Wanda Lattimore and Kathy McGuire, and their mother, Jewell Lythena; 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Margaret and Johnna. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Brenda; two sisters, Opel and Arlene; a brother, Enoch, nieces, nephews and many other loved ones.
The family celebrated his life with a luncheon after a private family service on Thursday at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington with Pastor Billy Joe White officiating. Burial was held at Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you help someone in need.
