Obituary

Harry Raymond Sorg, 67, of Wellington, died Sunday, June 14, 2009 at New Life Hospice of St. Joseph in Lorain. Harry was born July 9, 1941 in Medina, son of the late, George F. & Elva A. (nee Perkins) Sorg. He was a Wellington resident most of his life; he graduated from Elyria High School in 1959. Harry retired from General Motors after 30 years of employment. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Wellington. Harry's hobbies included woodworking and gardening. Harry is survived by his wife, Sandra (nee Green) Sorg, they would have celebrated 42 years of marriage July 1st; children, Brian Sorg of Wellington, Sherry (Dave) Arcuri of Wellington, Kevin (Bonnie) Sorg of Fairview Park and Steven (Melissa) Sorg of Wellington; 6 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; siblings, Bob (Joan) Sorg of Berea, Leonard Sorg of Wellington and Lawrence Sorg of Wellington. He was preceded in death by 6 siblings, Kenneth, James, Ralph, George, Jr., John Sorg and Marjorie Brinker. Friends will be received beginning at 4:00 p.m. until the funeral service at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church of Wellington, 127 Park Place. Pastor Lea Mahan and lay minister Steven Hisey will co-officiate and in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the New Life Hospice, 3700 Kolbe Road, Lorain, Ohio 44053 or the First United Methodist Church of Wellington, 127 Park Pl., Wellington, Ohio 44090.
