Hazel L. Emery, 87, of Cleveland, died Thursday, January 28, 2010 at the Elm's Retirement Village in Wellington. She was born June 29, 1922 in Cleveland, and was the daughter of the late Herbert and Clara (nee Evert) Brinker. Hazel graduated in 1940 from James Ford Rhodes High School in Cleveland. She was a member of the Puritas Lutheran Church for many years. Hazel dedicated over twenty-eight years to volunteering for the West Park Meals on Wheels. Survivors include two nieces, Diane Soboslai of Wakeman and Susan Citro of Elyria and a nephew, Ed Schoville of New London. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James and one sister, Mildred Schoville. Family and friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington. Burial will follow at Clarksfield Methodist Cemetery.
