Norwalk, Ohio - Hazel M. Missig, 97, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017 in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, Ohio. She was born October 16, 1920 in Detroit, Michigan, to the late James L. and Emma A. (French) McDougall, and came to this area in 2005 from Warren, Michigan. Hazel was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Evangelical Church, Norwalk, Ohio, and retired as the Senior Administrative Assistant of the Warren Consolidated Schools of Warren, Michigan. She enjoyed gardening, playing euchre and pinochle, line dancing, the Detroit Tigers, and especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren on face book. Hazel is survived by her children, Gail Pelletier of Milan, Ohio, Jerry (Maryjo) Missig of Frisco, Texas, and Gary (Joanne) Missig of Rochester, Michigan, and by her grandchildren, Kristen, Julie, Melissa, Jeremy, and Evan, and by 9 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Edward McDougall of Florida. Hazel was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Gerald C. Missig in 2013, by her sister, Lorraine Herbert, and by her brothers, James McDougall and Bruce McDougall. Friends may call on Friday, December 8, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. in St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, 243 Benedict Avenue, Norwalk, Ohio. Rev.
