Helen Louise Dowdy (nee Conroy), 63, of Sullivan and formerly of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2011. Born in Cleveland on September 10, 1948 to William and Helen Conroy, Helen graduated from West High School. She attended Saint Patrick Catholic Church. In her younger years, Helen enjoyed needlepoint and crocheting. She also liked swimming, gardening and playing video games. Helen was the beloved wife of Clifford for 45 years; dear mother of Patrice (Steven) Timothy; devoted grandmother to Ashley and Brett; sister of William (Sandra) Conroy, Dennis (Barbara) Conroy and Claire (Michael) Skor and loving friend to many. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her stepfather, Frank Pontinen. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 21 at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington from 5 ' 9 p.m. Visitation will also be held Thursday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 512 N. Main St., Wellington from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass with Father James Reymann officiating.
