Helen Virginia Frazier, age 93, of Ashland, died Thursday, November 24, 2016 at her home. She was born October 29, 1923 at home in Ruggles Twp., daughter of the late Franklin Perry and Clara (Storrow) Simonson. Helen had been a homemaker and had worked at Forest City Technologies/Foam for nearly 15 years. She was a longtime member of the Ruggles Church and never missed attending Sunday services when she was in good health. Helen was always active and never idle. She was hardworking, very social, especially "was known for her laugh" and very giving. She was a big part of the Ruggles Women's Guild, helped care for shut in's, helped people and shared her happiness.
She is survived by her children, William "Bill" (Judy) Frazier of Texas, Roy (JoAnn) Frazier of Wellington, Bob (Dee) Frazier of Bailey Lakes, JoAnn Frazier (Frank Jenkins) of Nankin, Lucille (Ken) Arnett of Wellington; 14 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Daniel Frazier, Sr., her siblings, Perry, Robert, Lucille, Oscar, Dorothy and Ruth.
Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. Funeral Service, Sunday, November 27, 2016 at the Ruggles Church, 1364 U.S. 224, New London, Ohio 44851. Pastor Martin Daly will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Ashland County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Ruggles Church.
