Helen Louise Huff, 105, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Kingston of Ashland. She was born on February 29, 1912 in Troy, Indiana to the late Cora (nee Woolard) and Lewis A. Arnold. On October 6, 1929, Helen married Elmer Huff; the two started a family and shared 47 wonderful years together.
In 1934, Helen and her family moved to the Huntington area. She was a member of the Jolly Craft and the Golden Agers clubs for many years. Going on trips with the seniors was always one of her favorite past times. Helen enjoyed giving her time through various volunteer organizations. She also thoroughly enjoyed making crafts and loved flowers and gardening. Helen was crowned the Queen of the Ashland County Fair in 2015 at the age of 103.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Joyce Jordan, Richard Denbow, Michael and Daniel Puskas, Sherry Ogle and Kathryn Jarell; 16 great grandchildren; 28 great-great grandchildren; and 6 great-great-great grandchildren. Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Huff; daughters, Joreta Butler and Mary Puskas; sons-in-law Earl Butler and George Puskas; brothers, Ellis, Edward and Sheldon Arnold; grandsons, Robert and Don Denbow; and a great grandson Bryan Denbow.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, September 18, 2017, from 10 a.m. until the time of services beginning at 11 a.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main Street, Wellington, grandson Michael Puskas will officiate and burial will follow at Huntington Cemetery.
