Helen Jean McClellan, 96, of Wellington, died Monday, February 20, 2017, at the Laurels of New London. Born on July 11, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Bertha (nee Wright) Beam. Helen was a lifelong resident of the Rochester and Wellington area. Helen worked for Carl's Diner and later for Poiners Grocery and retired from Pipe Fittings. She was a member of the Wellington Eagles #2051. Helen cherished time with her family and especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her children Gerald McClellan, Dawn (Bennie) Sword, and Chuck McClellan, all of Wellington; 5 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles in 1973, her brother Horace and sister Mary. A private graveside service will be held at Rochester Cemetery.
