Helen Francis Shriver, 96, of New London, died Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at the Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Firelands in New London. She was born December 15, 1913 daughter to the late, Bernard F. and Anna (nee King) Thrush in Detroit, MI. Helen lived in Billings, Montana for over 27 years, she loved Billings. Helen also lived in Tucson, AZ; Sandusky and Bailey Lakes, OH and Washington DC. She has resided in New London for the past 35 years. Helen graduated high school in Detroit and went on to further her education at Mansfield Beauty School she went on to become a registered nurse in Montana. She attended Billings Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Montana. Helen was the proud owner and operator of the Band Box Beauty Shop formerly of New London and worked at St. John's Nursing Home as a Nursing Supervisor in Billings, MT. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Dick and Pat Shriver of Greenwich; four grandchildren, Hether, Anitra, Austin and Sierra Shriver and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Woodrow in 1980 and her son, Norris 'Sam' Shriver in 1996. There will be no services.
