Helen Kathleen Thompson, 91, died Sunday, July 12, 2009 at the Elms Retirement Home. She was born in Ravenna on June 8, 1918 to the late Everett and Grace (nee Howard) Right. Helen moved to Wellington in 1942 and worked for Forest City for 16 years. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and doing word puzzles. Helen was a wonderful cook who always enjoyed making pies for her family and neighbors. Survivors include her five children, Karen (Bob) Frye of Wellington; Chuck (Cindy) Roby of Bolivar, Kathleen (Christopher) Gordon of Norwalk; Randy (Rick) Roby of Washington, Darlene (Sonny) Shultz of Florida; 6 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She is also survived by her sister, Ruth Lau of Florida. Helen was preceded in death by her first husband, Delmer Roby; her second husband, Paul Thompson and an infant brother. A private burial will take place on Tuesday at Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 74924, Cleveland, Ohio 44194-4924.
