Henry A. "Alex" Garza

Henry A. “Alex” Garza, 56, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at his residence. He was born on October 2, 1969, in Lorain, Ohio, to Norma (Garcia) Garza and the late Henry Garza. He spent much of his childhood in Cidra, Puerto Rico.

Alex enjoyed fishing, telling jokes, gardening and nature and was a great cook and “grill master”. He was talented at drawing and was a huge Cleveland Cavaliers and Browns fan.

Alex worked in quality control for different companies where he used his skills in color matching for the automotive industries.

He is survived by his mother, Norma (Garcia) Garza; daughters, Davonnia “Divi” (Everette) Newell and Alahna Garza; previous wife, Cassandra Garza; companion, Dezerae Pahl; bonus child, Phoenix; grandchildren, Ella and Eli Newell; sisters, Tamika Garza and Alycea Carter; brother, Gary Kimbrough; a host of step brothers, step sisters, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Alex was preceded in death by his father, Henry Garza, sister, Octavia Musgrove, and nephew Kevin Price.

A graveside going home service will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Woodlawn Cemetery, in Norwalk, beginning at 11 a.m. Pastor Tony Robinson will be officiating the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
