Obituary

Pastor Hershel Case was born on October 3, 1943 in Blue Moon, Kentucky. He was taken home to Heaven on January 14, 2016 at 1:24 pm. Hershel married his sweetheart, Juanita, on March 30, 1963. They have held hands and walked through life together ever since. Hershel and Juanita were blessed with two daughters, Kim (Rod) Childers and Paula Reynolds both of Goshen, Ohio; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Hershel was preceded in death by his dad, Hassel in 1988; mother, Hazel in 1994 and sister, Deanna Kay who died at birth. Hershel was a rock for his entire family and so loved by his sisters Bonnie (Chuck) Ruggles of Norwalk, Ohio, Reeda (Eilford) Case of Fremont, Ohio and Debbie (Mark) Goodwin of Gatlinburg, Tennessee and brothers, Lloyd (Sharon) Case of South Pittsburg, Tennessee, Bill (Charlene) Case of Seymour, Tennessee and Bobby Dean (Carol) Case of Sevierville, Tennessee. Hershel and Juanita have been in the ministry for over 40 years. He was instrumental in running the print shop at the Bearing Precious Seed from 1980 to 1986. The Bible printing ministry was so important to him. He and Juanita were also Missionaries sent out by the First Baptist Church of Milford, Ohio as Church Planters. They started five churches in Australia over a period of 18 years. Most recently he started a church in Polk, Ohio called Temple Baptist Church. Hershel is Home in Heaven hearing the words he has worked for most of his life, "Well done thou good and faithful servant." Hershel's family will greet friends Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of New London, 432 Park Avenue from 10 am until the time of the service at noon with Pastor William Duttry officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to Juanita and the Case family.
