Ida Mae Shultz, age 90, of Greenwich, died on Friday, May 9, 2025, at University Samaritan Hospital of Ashland. Born in West Virginia on August 15, 1934, to the late Aubrey J. and Lura (Shepherd) Warner, she was a 1953 graduate of Upshur High School in Buckhannon, WV. Ida Mae married Marvin L. Shultz on June 4, 1954, and the couple moved to Greenwich in 1955, where they built their lives and raised their family. She worked at Fannie Farmer Candy Co. for twenty years.
A member of Rainbow Valley Chapel in Plymouth, Ida Mae was devout in her Christian faith. A selfless and caring mother, she dedicated her life to her family. She was a spirited and proud woman who fearlessly ensured that her voice was heard and that things were done properly.
Survivors include her son, David (Elaine) Shultz; grandchildren, Daniele, Lance, and Aimee; 6 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Marvin, she was preceded in death by three children, Terry, Judith, and Stephen. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Roy Warner; and sister, Audra Dowell.
Family and friends are invited to visitation on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and again from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Eastman Funeral Home, 49 W. Main St., Greenwich, OH 44837. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery. Bethel Baptist Church in Savannah will host a meal for family and friends following the committal service at the cemetery on Wednesday.
